I originally got this raw granola cereal recipe from a friend of mine who lives in Australia.
This raw recipe is really versatile and you can really make a lot of adjustments based on your particular cravings or food preferences. Some people who have made this actually add dried cranberries as well.
This particular raw granola recipe is excellent and tastes great. There are lots of nuts in here which can be a bit acidifying to the blood and heavy on the digestion so just keep that in mind. Also it’s got quite a bit of sugar in it from the dried fruits and honey.
If you’d like to add in some green leaf stevia powder instead of a percentage of the honey, please do so. The trick with stevia is using 90% stevia and 10% natural sweeteners like honey, agave nectar (make sure it’s really raw and high quality not high fructose corn syrup), xylitol, yacon root syrup etc.
Stevia by itself will leave a weird taste in your mouth. Almost like a chemical after flavoring.
If you’ve got candida issues or yeast overgrowth, I’d definitely not make this recipe. I would eat more fermented foods so you don’t get cavities or receding gums. It’s easy to really get cavities when on a high sugar raw food diet. I know a lot of people where this happened so make sure to take care of your teeth if you can help it.
With that all said, I think you’re really going to like this simple recipe. All you’ll need is a good quality food processorand you’re good to go!
The only other thing I’d like to point out is the oats. If you’re not a fan of oats and grains I wouldn’t do this either. For this reason I don’t really make this recipe any longer.
If you make this let me know how it turns out. Let me know if you followed the recipe exact or if you threw in your own variations!
