Dr. David Jockers author of Supercharge Your Brain joined us today to talk about how to increase energy levels.
So many people today are just plain tired. They are simply worn out from the stresses of life. Stress is a huge cause for depletion of energy in many people. But what people don’t realize is that digestion is the number one way the body gets depleted of energy.
Digestion uses the most resources of any bodily function, even exercise! So getting our digestion in tip top shape is critical if you want to increase your energy and feel happy and motivated.
As an aside, I like to use moving meditations like Qigong to help increase my energy levels or even dynamic meditations or bioenergetics that really help to release stored stresses in the body.
But by far the most important thing you can do to increase your energy levels is to exercise, get fresh air, regular sunlight and improve your digestion and drink water.
These seem pretty basic but they are so critical to making sure we have enough energy to get through not just the daily demands of life but also to have enough left over energy to pursue that which we’re passionate about.

Hey Justin, you mentioned in this episode that it might be a good idea to super-charge Atom Bergstrom’s cobalamin tonic with additional ingredients. Just wanted to let you know that Atom says in his book that the cobalamin tonic will not work as intended if any additions, deletions, or substitutions are made to it. I’m sure you are super busy, but his book is SO fascinating!
Hi Rhonda! He said a long time back (and I failed to mention this during the show) to have 1 cup of his cobalamine tonic and then the 2nd cup of coffee could be however you like. Now that winter is coming I’m excited to get into all of this again! Thanks for commenting and listening! 🙂
Yep, my approach exactly! 🙂
Isn’t Dr. Jockers great?
