Newsflash, candida is good for you. Without it, you’d die.

Sorry to break the news to you and to disagree with literally every major health influencer online but it’s the truth.

The issue is candida overgrowth, not candida.

It’s like water. Water is good for you but not if somebody forces you to drink 5 gallons in one sitting.

What is the role of candida anyway? Why do we have it?

Candida’s job is to eat up dead cells in the body.

Why are there dead cells?

Great question.

Each day the average human will have roughly 60 billion (give or take a few billion, because they’re counting each of them) cells die. But if you eat lots of processed foods, or are exposed to lots of radiation and stress you might be killing 100 billion each day.

What is your body going to do with that other 40 or so billion?

Your nervous system will instruct the cells in your body to grow more candida in order to eat up those dead cells. But now that there’s more candida there are more “mouths to feed” so to speak. It’s like having kids. More kids = more mouths to feed.

Now…. all of those new candida organisms need food every day. That’s when they start altering your cravings (through the Vagus nerve and your gut/brain connection through the hypothalamus). All those years you thought you liked pizza or ice cream, you were wrong.

Your candida was craving it, not you.

This is why, the more you eat foods that feed candida, the worse your cravings get. This is because you’re essentially making billions of new babies each day that need to eat.

Are there natural remedies for candida? Of course, but it’s a comprehensive task that I’d recommend you have in the back of your head all the days of your life.

Always be aware of the foods you eat and if they are feeding candida.

I want to get into a comprehensive approach to getting rid of candida naturally but first…

What Is Candida?

Candida is a form of yeast in your body. Sounds gross right? But we all have it. Typically in humans it’s called candida albicans and it lives mostly in your digestive tract (both your small and large intestines) and genitourinary tract.

If you have a healthy and normal amount of bacteria, it helps restore balance in your digestive system by consuming the dead cells we talked about earlier.  And it defends your healthy microflora from harmful bacteria in your gut. But as it overgrows in your body it shifts from a relatively harmless yeast form into a fungal form. That’s where the problem lies. It’s like having a malignant tumor vs a harmless benign tumor. It’s the shift from yeast to fungus that’s the real problem with candida overgrowth.

When this shift happens that’s where you start to notice signs and symptoms which could be skin rashes, bloating, a white coating on your tongue, diarrhea, constipation, UTIs, vaginal infections and oral thrush to name just a few. I’ll dive more into that in the next section.

The thing that makes candida such an issue is that it can penetrate the intestinal walls which causes a whole host of other issues like autoimmune conditions (everyone has a candida overgrowth component to it), leaky gut, energy loss and inflammation. Not good.

But those are just minor annoyances. The real problem is that candida can be the cause of other major diseases that we’ll dive into, in the next section.

The Candida Disease Connection

This was the big one. When I first learned about the connection between candida and chronic degenerative disease I was blown away. It made sense, but it really caused me to take candida more seriously.

Candida is the fungal version of a parasite. It literally robs your body of nutrients needed to survive while it eats away at you until you die. Remember, your physical form is more non human bacteria than human. That is you have more cells in your body that are not human than are your DNA.

Most of you, isn’t you.

So how does candida contribute or cause disease?

Remember that shift I spoke about before when candida shifts from a yeast form to a fungal form? Well when it does that it produces a root like structure called rhizoids that burrow through your intestinal walls, creating holes.

When this happens, yeast, toxins, heavy metals, parasites, plastics, chemicals, bacteria and undigested food enters your bloodstream prematurely (before your body was able to fully digest and absorb them). Now when these substances get into your bloodstream, your body’s alarm sirens go off and it causes a massive inflammatory response.

Think of a fire alarm going off at 3am at your local fire department. Everything was working correctly, things were good, the firemen were sound asleep.

Then out of nowhere the sirens go off and the firemen jump up and charge out the door to put out that fire. This is what your body does when it recognizes foreign invaders entering your bloodstream. It’s all hands on deck.

Many times your body misses the signal or overreacts. The fire could be a raging forest fire or it could a small bond fire at the beach. The firefighters have to respond the same way, full on.

But when your body does this, you have autoimmune responses in that your body over products chemicals, white blood cells and cytokines when it’s not all necessary.

When candida gets into your bloodstream it also (like a fire) can spread and produce 75 other chemicals that rob your body of nutrients and steals your energy. Remember, when it comes to health and healing energy production is the name of the game.

More energy = longer life and a healthier life

Energy is made in cytochrome c-oxidase (complex 4) in the mitochondrial transport chain. The healthier your mitochondria are, the more energy you’ll create.

The more energy you have the less disease you’ll have.

If you would like more information on just how insidious candida is, I would read the books, The Fungus Link and one of my favorites is called The Germ That Causes Cancer. The author is a guy by the name of Doug Kauffman and we interviewed him years ago. I’ll post that below. I recommend you listen to that.

The other books I’s highly recommend is called The Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates. She goes deep into candida and fungal overgrowth in her book. Today is your lucky day because we also interviewed her which I’ll put down below.

The other books I’d highly recommend is called The Irritable Brain Syndrome by Kit Campbell. In this book she talks about the connection between cancer, depression, autoimmune disease and fungus. It’s really fascinating. When you ask an oncologist “what causes cancer?” they’re always going to tell you that nobody knows. Well Kit in her book shares the research about how candida causes cancer.

Pretty nuts.

Oh and guess what? We interviewed her too (in studio!). Check it out below…

The final nail in the coffin is the research by a guy by the name of Dr. Tulio Simoncini who wrote a book called Cancer is a Fungus. He was seeing amazing success (when he still had is medical license because God forbid you actually heal people from cancer) injecting tumors with sodium bicarbonate change its internal pH.

You mean you can heal from cancer with a $5 bag of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) that you can buy at your local grocery store? What about chemotherapy, radiation and surgery which make billions of dollars per year?

It makes sense they gotta protect their brand. Cancer is a brand name worth trillions. You cannot have some rogue doctor coming in and destroying that brand by curing people for $5 bucks.

Can’t let that happen.

In short….cancer, depression, autoimmune disease, food cravings, leaky gut etc are all caused by candida.

Sorry medical doctors. Looks like you’re going to have to open up your dusty Merck Manual and start reading studies again instead of putting your patients on more drugs.

What Feeds Candida?

Candida has a very specific diet of its own to say it like that. It requires certain substances and has preferences it wants in order to survive. Think of a small baby or a small child that’s addicted to ice cream. This is candida. It’s like a little baby where all it wants is ice cream, quite literally.

What candida thrives on is sugar from processed foods and carbohydrates. Think bread, crackers, pasta, cereals, waffles, pancakes, white rice you know all the stuff that tastes amazing in our diet.

What person in America do you think DOESN’T consume those foods? Almost nobody.

The other substance candida feeds on is antibiotics and some prescription drugs. The average 60 yr old American is on 15 pharmaceutical medications year. Crazy right? Especially when you consider how many people die from them.  Also hormonal treatments can encourage candida overgrowth by altering the balance of intestinal flora (remember how I said there’s a battle going on in your gut between good and bad bacteria – imagine the battle scene in the movie Braveheart). Anything that either kills good bacteria or promotes the production of bad bacteria upsets that delicate balance and will cause candida to proliferate.

Makes sense, if you take away one player from a basketball team the other team is going to win.

So if you want natural remedies for candida, do what you can to avoid processed foods, avoid medications (including antibiotics) and at the very least take a high quality probiotic.

4 Natural Remedies For Candida

Diet

To stop Candida from growing in your body, I would highly recommend that you  follow an anti-Candida diet that focuses on starving the yeast by eliminating its primary food sources which I’ll list below.

Remember there are two phases to an overcoming candida naturally. This applies to any disease. It’s offense/defense. Think about a basketball team. It does no good to score 200 points in a game if you give up 201. In other words the best offense is meaningless if you don’t play defense.

The inverse is also true.

With that said, when it comes to candida, you must do both. You must starve the body of its primary fuel source. Then you must provide the body with nutrients (like copper & probiotics for example) that help give your body the tools and energy to kill the excess candida.

Once you do that, then you can start literally playing offense which is akin to doing a cleanse to kill the candida naturally.

We know that supplements like dragon’s blood has been shown to have antifungal effects.

Doing regular blood donations seems to help me because candida feeds off iron in your body.

Here are some general guidelines when it comes to candida:

  1. Avoid Sugar and Refined Carbohydrates: Eliminate all forms of sugar, including sucrose, lactose, maltose, fructose, and added glucose. Refined carbohydrates like white bread, white rice, and pastries should also be avoided, as they contribute to the glucose load that feeds Candida.
  2. Exclude Yeast-Containing Foods: Avoid foods that contain yeast, such as bread and other baked goods made with yeast, as these can promote Candida growth.
  3. Limit Fermented Products: Fermented foods like alcohol and certain vinegars should be avoided, as they can encourage yeast overgrowth.
  4. Focus on Whole, Unprocessed Foods: Base your diet on lean proteins, non-starchy vegetables, and healthy fats. These foods do not feed Candida and support overall health.
  5. Incorporate Anti-Candida Foods: Include foods like garlic, oregano, and other herbs that have antifungal properties. These can help reduce Candida levels in the body.
  6. Avoid Dairy and Processed Foods: Dairy products and processed foods can stress the digestive system and contribute to Candida overgrowth. Stick to fresh, whole foods prepared at home.

If you eat like this, while doing some cleanses I list below you will notice massive differences in your health and most likely all your symptoms will slowly go away. This means the natural balance of your intestinal flora has been restored.

The other great thing about doing some natural remedies to get rid of candida is you lower your risk of the diseases I mentioned above.

Cleanses

I highly recommend doing a comprehensive candida cleanse at least once per year. But remember, this does no good if  you’re killing 600 billion cells per day because you’re living under blue light, sleeping next to a WiFi router, eating processed foods and living a toxic lifestyle.

You have to fix all that first then let your body rebalance for at least 30 days and then consider a candida cleanse.

As you go through the cleanse you’re going to be killing the organisms that your body is creating to in order to eat up the dead cells. If you keep making too many dead cells each day, then killing the candida makes no sense and it can be harmful for your system because how are those dead cells going to be dealt with in your body if you don’t have  a “clean up crew” like candida to eat them up?

This is why it’s absolutely critical to stop killing so many cells each day so that your body doesn’t need to keep growing more candida microorganisms to act at the clean up crew.

With that said, any time you do a candida cleanse, you’re going to feel the die off. You’ll feel tired, weak and maybe a little bit depressed. This is normal because there’s a war going on inside your body for a healthy environment. Anytime there’s a war, there’s blood shed, dead bodies and other collateral damage.

Just be aware of how you feel when you’re doing any kind of candida cleanse.

I would try the Candida Healing Cleanse from Global Healing first and see how your body responds. If on your next cleanse (I recommend doing them once per year) you didn’t like that one, you could try a product I like called Yeast Control formerly called Syclovir.

Both are really great and comprehensive.

I also like to do rectal ozone insufflations on a regular basis because we know that ozone kills fungus in the body.

Conclusion

As you can see a candida natural remedy isn’t about taking a pill or supplement. You can’t keep living the same way and take a pill each night and expect changes. As my mentor Jim Rohn says “all health challenges are nothing more than an invitation for life change.”

Here’s a short list…

  • Get rid of nnEMF (or at least mitigate it)
  • Get outside more
  • Block blue light
  • Eliminate foods that feed candida, yeast and fungus
  • Cut out stressful people and relationships from your life
  • Do work you love
  • Have more fun
  • Laugh more
  • Spend time with friends
  • Focus on sleep
  • Take supplements
  • Drink mineral rich water
  • Then, consider a candida cleanse
