Feel Good Project day 13
All I can say is THANK God that today was a new day!!!
Waking up to a sauna sale made a huge difference in our life this morning-so that is a GIANT stress reliever. I am beyond grateful. 🙂
Because yesterday was such a downer, I was determined to make today the best possible to make up for the darkness that I felt. I decided to make it a beautiful day, and was determined to let nothing get in my way.
Then I woke up to the sound of a chainsaw outside my bedroom window. I quickly decided on the spot-I was either going to kill somebody, or kill them with kindness.
I chose that latter:)
Keeping the tea bag wisdom from yesterday in my head, I was determined to CHOOSE kindness, even when I didn’t feel like it.
So I did what every frustrated gal should do to keep her sanity and feel good: I baked gooey chocolate oatmeal bars.
Not for me, but for the construction crew next door.
In the almost two years they have been working on the remodel, I have griped and repeatedly asked myself how much longer this torture could go on? (between forced bouts of positive attitudes at times too, although proved to be short lived).
Well, no longer. TODAY marked the turn around day. The pivotal moment where I just give in and CHOOSE love over anger. I embrace the loudness over peace. I welcome the lessons I am clearly supposed to learn from all of this.
I make cookies, not war!!!
Because money is so tight right now, I unfortunately had to make the yumminess out of crap ingredients (not organic, high end products I usually use for all my baking and cooking), but I just had to let that one go and know that the ACT in this case was more important to follow through with instead of not doing it.
I baked and let the bars cool, cut them into squares and loaded them up on a plate and dropped them next door. All the workers were busy and covered in dirt at the moment I showed up, but I am assuming they got snatched up quickly on lunch break (at least that’s what I am hoping).
Or maybe they were too suspicious to eat them-wondering if I was trying to halt the noise by poisoning them (ha!)
I really do hope they got eaten!!!
So, I am not saying this to pat myself on the back-I am saying it as a reminder to live kindly and put into practice what was given to me yesterday. I refuse to fail the test.
FEEL GOOD MOMENT OF THE DAY: Realizing that the coconut chips that I have been eating like a maniac lately might be causing me some belly challenges! Learned today that they contain sulfur, as I honestly didn’t know before as I would’ve ditched them long ago. Apparently regular coconuts you open yourself are okay-however they add sulfur to many other coconut products however to keep the nice white color! WHO knew? And you know what? Today is the BEST I have felt in probably two months digestion-wise. Little miracle today. I believe I am on the right track with ditching the whey and the coconut products for now-will see as I go…
