Feel Good Project day 79
Day 2 of a 3 day cycle with the castor oil pack (3 days on then 3 days off), which I watched a great video online about how one can treat themselves with this method for up to 6 months, then take 1 month off and can start the 6 months on again.
I have to say, there was a ton of movement today, way more than yesterday. My belly wouldn’t stop gurgling and digesting the entire hour I was laying there with the pack on, as well as the fibroid area actually felt really wonderful while the pack was on, and then after it was taken off there was a dull, low ache for a couple of hours afterward.
I am taking this as a good sign!
Seems like something is stirring up in there causing a bit of discomfort, which I will take any day of the week over having pain pop of out of the blue at random.
Wednesday morning is the first ultrasound I will have in over a year to check the status of that little sucker, so I am keen to see where it is at and then test it again after some major treatments with castor oil packs, even more dietary changes, continued Q laser treatments, and added in energy therapies.
I love these documented body experiments because nothing excites me more these days than seeing my own body heal itself without the use of medications or surgeries.
The human body REALLY is MIRACULOUS.
I watched the rest of the Yogawoman documentary tonight while eating diner with Justin. Inspired me to get my butt back to my mat, as I have been lazy about making it a priority even though I LOVE my journey with yoga and what it has done for me in the past.
That is my main goal this week-by weeks end…
I will sign up for a special a local yoga studio is running (like so many do these days!) of 30 days unlimited yoga for just $30. I will use money from the garage sale I am having this weekend to pay for it, as we are on a tight budget these days and even $30 can be a lot. BUT that’s HOW important I feel/KNOW yoga is to my journey back to feeling good and renewing my health even further.
Lots going on right now in life! Holy Moly.
Today was the official day I let everyone know that I am officially retiring from my 16 year career as a hair stylist. I have gotten many wonderful responses, most sending me love and wishing me well. 5 days and counting until I am DONE.
Here’s what I wrote to my family and friends:
Dear friends and family-
After 16+ years of being a hairstylist I am officially hanging up my hat! I have LOVED serving you to the best of my abilities and cannot count the memories and new friendships that have come through my career all these past years. I LOVE you all. DO NOT PANIC: my beautiful and talented friend Kelly will be taking my place at th salon for those of you who need the best referral in town:) She is AMAZING and will take great care of you. ALSO: if you’d like to come meet Kelly and say farewell to me we are having a wine and cheese party at the salon this coming Monday January 26th from 3-5. Would love for you to stop in and say hello/goodbye!!!! LOVE you all-it’s been quite a journey…
I only have a half day Thursday and then a full day Saturday and then that’s IT.
Feels like GIANT shifts are on happening and I am in awe watching them unfold. I love where I am right NOW, regardless of the tight finances and not knowing how to pay next month’s rent BUT I will be so excited to look back a year from now and see how it all worked out. Because I know it will. So so curious to watch HOW.
FEEL GOOD MOMENT OF THE DAY: Hearing two men talking on the street while passing them on a walk with Maggie this morning where one said to the other, “Just take your TIME. Slow DOWN.” One smiled at the other and they shook hands and happily parted ways. It isn’t very often I hear encouraging reminders like that in public places. Made my heart sing and I felt reminded that the world is FULL of loving, wonderful people just waiting to encourage one another.
